Delivery Policy

By dealing with a local supplier, you have the advantage of quick deliveries and service to your door- not the top of your driveway ! We use 4x4 trucks where necessary because we realize that most cottages and homes in this area have a steep driveway and sometimes a narrow laneway.

Here are a few tips for you to make your delivery satisfying:

We usually deliver on the same day (if you call early) or the next day.
Our busiest period is Saturday mornings, if you own a cottage and are arriving Friday night, we have had success by delivering Friday afternoon. Long weekends in the summer are also a busy period.
The site must be accessible. Please, no locked gates or washed out laneways !
At present, we do not deliver on Sundays.
We prefer you to be there to accept the delivery. However, we realize that this is not always practical. If you are there, carefully inspect the goods. We provide a shipping bill that is clearly itemized with every delivery.
Large lumber deliveries are "dump loaded" .
As with any transaction, good communication is the key. Good delivery instructions and a clear understanding between you and the sales clerk will go a long way.
Have the clerk read back your order to you. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Many products that we sell are called different things by different people.
We generally deliver in Haliburton County. For longer distances, contact one of our sales representatives.

Customers with accounts will have the delivery information and phone numbers in our computer records. There will also be a history of past purchases that may assist you with your current order.
Drywall, cement blocks, shingles and stoves require assistance to unload. If assistance is not available, please identify prior to delivery.
Drywall deliveries will be made to the first floor only.
If a second worker is needed, he will be charged out at $50.00 per hour from the time the driver leaves the yard until he returns. This is subject to scheduling availability.
Small orders (under $500.00) are subject to a $25.00 delivery charge* policy subject to change.
If we are going to your location with a lumber order, we will add rental items to the order. You will be responsible to return them to our Rent-all department when finished.
Floating docks are "dumped" into the lake at a landing or boat launch. You will be required to tow them to your shoreline by boat.

Discounts

We offer a 10% discount for payment by cash, cheque or debit card.

This does not apply to specialty items as follows:
Items in our sale flyer
Items in the Rent-all department
Quoted "net" prices on projects such as house lots of lumber etc.
Docks, power tools, bath fixtures, ladders, windows
Any other item marked "net"

Please note that our loyal "house account" customers also receive a 10% discount (with the same restrictions as above).

Discounts using credit cards can be negotiated depending on the size of the order.

Payment Methods

Cash customers can use all the major credit cards including American Express. Debit cards are also very popular. We also accept cheques with proper identification.

House account customers generally pay by cheque or PC banking. We have accounts set up with all of the major banks to accept payments "on-line". When setting this up with your bank, use the 4 digit account number that you have been assingned. We also distribute gift cards which are redeemable with no expiry date.
